October :: Lexie, Beautiful Woman of The Month ::

Meet Lexie, we met at church through one of my high school girls that was in my small group last year. Lexie is strong young adult that has come a long way to be where she is at now.  She has a big heart to help others, especially those that are struggling with hard times. I have watched her fill up with compassion when she listens to someone who is going through a hard time. When you first meet Lexie she is pretty quite but once you get to know her,  she opens up and you will see the determined and caring person I have come to know. She is very honest and genuine and what you see is what you get. She loves to hang out and laugh and she seems reserved at first but she’s really just a lil kid at heart. I have gotten to see this side of her more and more especially now that she has jumped on board with the Jr. High ministry at our church. That is what I love about her, the joy that comes out in her is like a child and that radiates! Enjoy the questions and answers from her. Thanks Lexie for being open and honest:)

M: How old are you?

L: I’m 18– That one was easy! 😉

M: What are five things on your bucket list?

L: Five things on my bucket list– 1) Spread God’s love & mercy every chance I get. 2) Start my own family someday. 3) Finish at least 4 years of college. 4) Take time to travel at least once a year. 5) See Damien Rice perform live.:)

M: What is one piece of advice you would give yourself when you started out in high school?

L: Well honestly, going in to high school is would an advice I’d give myself, I wasn’t very smart. I don’t really think I focused on anything but trying to have fun.

M: What is something you want to pass on to Jr. higher’s?

L: To Jr Highers: Having the coolest friends isn’t everything. Grades are really important too!
M: What makes you laugh the hardest?

L: Things that make me laugh really hard: Puns!! Cheesy jokes. People tripping (only if they don’t get hurt). James doing his Sid the Sloth voice. My family’s costume party/leg wrestling tournament that we have every year on Christmas Eve. People talking after they inhale helium.

M: What’s your favorite movie?

L: I don’t know if I can pick just one, but I really love the Virgin Suicides, Inside Man, 500 Days of Summer, and the Boondock Saints.

M: What restaurant would you recommend in the world?

L: Well I gotta change the restaurant question a little. If I could recommend food to the world– I would have my mom cook for everyone! She actually might be more talented than Martha Stewart.

M: What is the biggest thing you have learned in the last two years?
L: The biggest thing I have learned in the last few years is that there is not a single fear that people can’t overcome with God.

Lindsey Grip - What a small world! I knew the minute I started reading the interview that this was MY Lexie 😉 I love how you captured “her” in the photos. Great job, Moch! Love you, Lex!

September :: Beautiful Woman of the Month :: Brenda

Sorry it has been a long time since I have posted Beautiful Woman of the Month. I had to skip a couple months because life happens and we had to take care of some family stuff :/ but I am getting back in the swing of things!

So here we go!

Meet Brenda a woman of simplicity with POWER, I wanted to feature her for September and I know its November now but I will post someone for October and November…. but what the heck:)

A little bit about Brenda. Brenda attended UPS and was a Logger and that is where she met her husband Jeff! They actually both worked with the same company (Russell Investment) til they had kids and now she works at home as a MOM. Brenda is the type of person you want to have in your life! She is very encouraging and simply fun to be around! Brenda is honest and will help you. When I look at Brenda I see a woman who had led many women to be where they may need to be. The women I am talking are the many teenage girls who are now moms, young moms to be exact.  She helps out at a place called Care Net and it is a place where teen moms can receive help with their pregnancy if they do not have any other way of support. They walk them through the steps of their time of being pregnant. Their main focus is help to change hearts and save lives. If you would like to learn more about Care Net click here. Just like the rest of us, she has had many things happen in her life and it has taught her to help others. Here are some questions and answers. Remember she is a woman of simplicity and honesty, some of her answers may leave you to ponder but that is what I like about this months “Beautiful Woman of the Month!”

M: If you watch football, what is the team you root for and what would you have as an appetizer?

B: The Huskies! Usually chips, salsa and guacamole.

M: What is your favorite item to wear on a regular basis?

B: Diamond earrings.

M: Would you rather have mascara or lip-gloss and why?

B: Mascara – it helps more than lip gloss would!

M: Who in your opinion is beautiful and why?

B: A shallow answer, but I’ve always thought Catherine Zeta Jones was very beautiful in appearance.

M: What is the toughest thing about being a woman is?

B: Feeling vulnerable, unsafe.

M: What is one piece of information you can pass on to other women?

B: Love your husbands with all your heart, don’t hold back or love them according to what you think they deserve. Love them out of obedience to the Lord and He will bless you for it.

M:  What is one thing you remember from growing up that you miss?

B: My mom

M: Has your life been something you feel like you have accomplished well? Is there anything you would change?

B: Accomplished well? Well, I feel like I’m still in the process. God is taking me from glory to glory, and he has made beauty from ashes. There’s some things I would do over if I had the chance but I’ve decided not to live with regrets.

M: What do you want your kids to learn from you?

B: I want my kids to make Christ – Lord of everything in their life. Hopefully lead by example.

M: Last but not least, what do you most enjoy when you are ready for the day to begin or want to do?

B: Being with my family: I love spending time with my husband, being able to watch my kids grow up and spending time with my oldest.

Matt & Jennifer

Matt & Jennifer are getting married next summer on Orcas Island and we cannot wait to be there to photograph their wedding next July! They have been dating forever from what they told us! They are a delight and a joy to be around. We took these photos on a night at the fair when it was super busy, due to the nice weather and it was the second to last day before the fair closed for the season. We will be doing a second set of engagement photos in the future when we go on the ferry to Anderson Island and hope there will be snow, they have fond memories of the island. One reason they wanted to do engagement photos at the fair is because it was the first place they held hands:)Enjoy the photos we got to take at the Puyallup Fair to Free their Glee:)
